In this powerful episode of Divine Disruptors, I sat down with Christian transformation coach Mandy-Marie Eldredge and what unfolded was one of the most honest, hope-filled conversations about mental health, motherhood, and healing through faith I’ve ever had.
Mandy-Marie helps Christian women break free from imposter syndrome and subconscious patterns holding them back from their God-given purpose. But her journey to get there wasn’t easy.
For twelve years, she lived with depression while raising five young children. “The medication helped me survive,” she shared, “but I was numb. I just prayed for the stamina to make it through each day.”
Everything shifted in 2010 when God planted a life-changing thought in her mind:
“What if you don’t have to deal with this the rest of your life?”
That divine moment sparked curiosity and led her on a journey of studying the mind-body-spirit connection, emotional healing through neuroscience, and the truth of God’s Word.
As Mandy-Marie walked her healing path, she discovered something many of us overlook: subconscious beliefs are powerful.
“95% of our daily results come from subconscious programming,” she explained. “It’s like having your foot on the gas but also on the brake.”
Whether it’s depression, imposter syndrome, or parenting guilt, these patterns often hold us back without us realizing it. But with faith and intentional rewiring, real transformation is possible.
One of the most moving parts of our conversation was about motherhood. So many of us tie our worth to our children’s behavior but Mandy-Marie offered a freeing reminder:
“Your value doesn’t go up or down based on what your kids do. Jesus is their Savior. Not me.”
She encouraged moms to release the urge to rescue their children from every disappointment. Instead, trust that God will use their experiences to bring them closer to Him.
“What I want for my children is to grow their relationship with Jesus. That’s the real goal,” she said.
We also explored how to find peace even when life’s storms don’t stop. Mandy-Marie shared a visual she often returns to: seeing herself in a boat, eyes fixed on Jesus walking on water while the storm rages around her.
That image is a powerful reminder: we don’t have to wait for life to calm down to experience peace. Christ offers peace in the storm, not just after it passes.
