For more than 7 years I have been sharing “Names of Christ” leading up to Christmas—the tradition continues.
Each day I will share:
-a name of Jesus Christ,
-a scripture,
-a quote,
-a quote from the 2021 October General Conference,
-a song or video,
-and a reflection/discussion question or two.
You can read and listen on your own or take a few minutes to share with your family (this is something we like to do each night as a family). Take a second and share this post with a friend or family member to bring the spirit of Christ in to your Christmas this year.
I love this invitation from President Russell M. Nelson from January 2017 in address given to the Young Adults of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He said, “Study everything Jesus Christ is by prayerfully and vigorously seeking to understand what each of His various titles and names means personally for you.”
I love this invitation and promised blessing giving by Elder Ronald A. Rasband during a BYU-Hawaii Devotional. He said, “I leave you my blessing; if you will study His many Names, you will feel the love of the Lord in your life, and in the process, come to know Him for who He is: ‘The Prince of Peace,’ ‘the Only Begotten of the Father,’ ‘Lord of Lords,’ and ‘The Light and Redeemer of the World;’ all to which I testify and bear record.” (“Name Above All Names”, BYU-Hawaii Devotional, October 20, 2020).
My invitation: come and learn with me this month. I’d love to hear in the comments what you learn about each of His many names!
