“Come Unto Christ and Don’t Come Alone” by Sister Bonnie H. Cordon

40 Day General Conference Challenge DAY 3

TALK: “Come Unto Christ and Don't Come Alone" by Sister Bonnie H. Cordon

JESUS CHRIST:

“We need Jesus Christ! The world needs Jesus Christ….Having great compassion, He set no limits and called for all “that are afflicted in any manner.” I love that nothing is too big or too small for Jesus Christ to heal.”

-Bonnie H. Cordon

SCRIPTURE:

“Have ye any that are sick among you? Bring them hither. Have ye any that are lame, or blind, or halt, or maimed, or leprous, or that are withered, or that are deaf, or that are afflicted in any manner? Bring them hither and I will heal them, for I have compassion upon you; my bowels are filled with mercy.” -3 Nephi 17:7

INSPIRING QUOTE:

“We continually seek to draw closer to the Savior through faith, cherished repentance, and keeping the commandments. As we bind ourselves to Him through covenants and ordinances, our lives are filled with confidence, protection, and deep and lasting joy. As we come to Him, we see others through His eyes. Come unto Christ. Come now, but don’t come alone!”

-Bonnie H. Cordon

INVITATION TO ACT:

“Find your patriarchal blessing, blow off the dust if you must, but study it often. If you don’t have one, get one—soon. Don’t delay finding out what the Lord wants to tell you now about who you are.”

-Bonnie H. Cordon

PROMISED BLESSING:

“You are a cherished, beloved child of Heavenly Father. He loves you so perfectly that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to atone for you and for me. The Savior’s love for us is unfailing—even when we fail! Nothing can separate us from the love of God.”

-Bonnie H. Cordon

REFLECTION QUESTION:

  • Why is it important for me and those I love to understand our divine nature?

LEARNING STYLE STUDY IDEA:

BOOK LEARNERS: Read my patriarchal blessing and look for phrases that teach me my divine nature and purpose.

MY THOUGHTS:

We need Jesus each and every minute of every day. I love that Jesus is constantly inviting us to come–come and follow Him. Come and find rest and healing and comfort and peace in Jesus Christ. Come unto Jesus and bring everyone you can with you!
