“Happy and Forever” by Gerrit W. Gong

40 Day General Conference Challenge DAY 26

NAME OF CHRIST:

“Jesus Christ’s Atonement can help us bring peace to our past and hope to our future.”

-Gerrit W. Gong

QUOTE ABOUT JESUS CHRIST:

“We are less alone when we realize we are not alone. Our Savior always understands. With our Savior’s help, we can surrender our pride, our hurts, our sins to God. However we may feel as we begin, we become more whole as we trust Him to make our relationships whole.”

-Gerrit W. Gong

SCRIPTURE:

“Wherefore, how great the importance to make these things known unto the inhabitants of the earth, that they may know that there is no flesh that can dwell in the presence of God, save it be through the merits, and mercy, and grace of the Holy Messiah, who layeth down his life according to the flesh, and taketh it again by the power of the Spirit, that he may bring to pass the resurrection of the dead, being the first that should rise.”

-2 Nephi 2:8

INSPIRING QUOTE:

“In a remarkable way, the Lord’s prophet is drawing us closer to our Savior, including through sacred temple ordinances and covenants coming closer to us in more places. We have a profound opportunity and gift to discover new spiritual understanding, love, repentance, and forgiveness with each other and our families, in time and eternity.”

-Gerrit W. Gong

INVITATION TO ACT:

“May we draw closer to our Savior in the holy house of the Lord, and may He draw us closer to God and each other as we knit our hearts together in Christ-given compassion, truth, and mercy in all our generations—in time and eternity, happy and forever.”

-Gerrit W. Gong

A PROMISED BLESSING:

“God our Heavenly Father and His Beloved Son live. They offer peace, joy, and healing to every kindred and tongue, to each of us.”

-Gerrit W. Gong

REFLECTION QUESTION:

  • When have I found healing in the temple?

LEARNING STYLE STUDY IDEA:

SOCIAL LEARNERS: Connect with family from the past by doing a little family history work today on familysearch.org.

MY THOUGHTS:

I love thinking of the healing that comes through temple ordinances and covenants. These blessings are available to all–on this side of the veil as well as the other side. We can draw closer to the Savior and be blessed with His power in the temple. –Erin
