JESUS CHRIST:

 “When we accepted the gospel of Jesus Christ and joined the Church, we changed our ways and our culture to align to the gospel. We had to let go of wrong traditions.”

 “And moreover, I would desire that ye should consider on the blessed and happy state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are blessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual.”

VISUAL LEARNERS: Find photos on “Family Search’” (familysearch.org) of my ancestors who paved the way before me as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

MY THOUGHTS:

Miracles happen as we sacrifice.

The sweet story Elder Revillo told about the Obedoza family in the Phillippines reminded me of a family on my mission.

I served in the Guayaquil Ecuador Missions (yes I was in 3 different missions in Guayaquil in 18 months).

The Avendano family similarly sacrificed greatly to go as a family to the Lima Peru Temple to be sealed eternally. The Lord blessed them and provided a way for them to attend the temple–even when finances did not work out on paper.

What a sweet reminder that as we yoke ourselves to Jesus Christ through covenant–He is bound to provide the means and the way!
