“Now is the Time” by Russell M. Nelson

40 Day General Conference Challenge DAY 40

TALK: “Now is the Time” by Russell M. Nelson

NAMES OF CHRIST: Lord, Savior, Redeemer

I love you, my dear brothers and sisters. More important, the Lord loves you. He is your Savior and your Redeemer. He leads and guides His Church. May we be a people worthy of the Lord, who said, ‘Ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.’ (Jeremiah 30:22)”

Russell M. Nelson

SCRIPTURE:

“And now, my beloved son, notwithstanding their hardness, let us labor diligently; for if we should cease to labor, we should be brought under condemnation; for we have a labor to perform whilst in this tabernacle of clay, that we may conquer the enemy of all righteousness, and rest our souls in the kingdom of God.”

-Moroni 9:6

INSPIRING QUOTE:

Yes, we should learn from the past, and yes, we should prepare for the future. But only now can we do. Now is the time we can learn. Now is the time we can repent. Now is the time we can bless others.”

Russell M. Nelson

INVITATION TO ACT:

I repeat my urging from this morning to do those things that will increase your positive spiritual momentum,..that will keep you moving forward through whatever challenges and opportunities come.”

Russell M. Nelson

PROMISED BLESSING:

My dear brothers and sisters, this conference has been historic in many ways. We have been blessed by the prayers, messages, and music. We have been inspired by servants of the Lord. We have received important direction for the future. My prayer is that the Spirit has spoken to you directly about things the Lord would have you do.”

Russell M. Nelson

REFLECTION QUESTION:

  • What would the Lord have me do?

LEARNING STYLE STUDY IDEA:

SOCIAL LEARNERS: Take time to reflect on the themes, teachings, and messages that really resonated with me this Conference. Take time to discuss my thoughts and feelings with family members of friends.

MY THOUGHTS:

There are a lot of things I cannot control but how I spend my time is one thing I can be in charge of. This talk allowed me to reflect on what I do with the time I am given. Am I doing what matters most? Am I focusing on eternal things that truly last? So grateful for the reminder of love–love from our living prophet who also shares the love our Savior has for us.
