40 Day General Conference Challenge DAY 23

TALK: “Your Divine Nature and Eternal Destiny” by Elder Dale G. Renlund

NAME OF CHRIST: Lord

“Everyone is needed on the Lord’s team.”

-Dale G. Renlund

QUOTE ABOUT JESUS CHRIST:

“[Look] to Jesus Christ, who stands with open arms, hoping and willing to heal, forgive, cleanse, strengthen, purify, and sanctify us.”

-Russell M. Nelson

SCRIPTURE:

Wherefore, my beloved brethren, have miracles ceased because Christ hath ascended into heaven, and hath sat down on the right hand of God, to claim of the Father his rights of mercy which he hath upon the children of men? For he hath answered the ends of the law, and he claimeth all those who have faith in him; and they who have faith in him will cleave unto every good thing; wherefore he advocateth the cause of the children of men; and he dwelleth eternally in the heavens.”

-Moroni 7:27-28

INSPIRING QUOTE:

The profound doctrine taught in the Young Women theme is important for young women, but it is applicable to all, including those of us who are not young women.”

Dale G. Renlund

INVITATION TO ACT:

I invite you to center your life on Jesus Christ and remember the foundational truths in the Young Women theme. If you are willing, the Holy Ghost will guide you.”

Dale G. Renlund

PROMISED BLESSING:

Our Heavenly Father wants you to become His heir and receive all that He has. He cannot offer you more. He cannot promise you more. He loves you more than you know and wants you to be happy in this life and in the life to come.”

Dale G. Renlund

REFLECTION QUESTION:

  • How have I found application to myself in the youth themes, no matter my age or stage of life?

LEARNING STYLE STUDY IDEA:

BOOK LEARNERS: Study the Young Women’s (or Young Men’s) theme defining words while reading. Take time to memorize the Young Women theme to recall in times of need.

MY THOUGHTS:

I need frequent reminders of who I am, who I belong to, where I came from, and a reminder of where I am going and who I can become. Elder Renlund reminds me of these four great truths that I sometimes forget. I love being reminded that Jesus Christ is always there–ready to receive and forgive and help me along the path.
